2004 Inductees
Brian Beatty - a three-year, two-way starter on the Leopards football team. He was a first team All-Ohio selection, the 1992 Stark County Most Valuable Football Player and the Canton Repository Player of the Year.
Dennis Biery - The owner of Biery Cheese, Dennis was the first Louisville High School wrestler to qualify for the state tournament. He was the construction manager and chairman of the Louisville Field of Dreams and Diamond of Dreams project. Nicole Catalano Groves - She was a four time Sectional Tennis Tournament Champion and a four-time State Tennis Tournament qualifier. She was undefeated for four straight years of Federal League tennis matches. Tom Chlebeck - Tom is a former graduate, player, teacher and coach at Louisville. He was the 1965 WHBC Stark County Most Valuable Football Player. He played in the North-South Football All-Star Game. Bob Gladieux - A three year letterman in football, basketball and baseball, he broke the Ohio high school football scoring record with 196 points his senior year. He was the 1965 WHBC Stark County Most Valuable Football Player. Also a Parade All-American and first team All-Ohio. Greg Graham - Greg was a three-year letterman in basketball for the Leopards. He earned four basketball letters at the University of Oregon and returned as a teacher and basketball coach at Louisville from 1979-1982. Jeff Kuhn - Jeff was the 1977 WHBC Stark County Football Most Valuable Player. He was first team All-County football as well as first team All Federal League. He also played baseball and wrestled. Ken Kuhn - Ken was the 1971 Stark County Most Valuable Football Player and earned 9 varsity letters in football, basketball and track. He was first team All-Ohio and captained the North squad in the North-South All-Star Football Game. Mike Malcuit - A 1986 State Wrestling Champion, Mike also played in 1984 and 1985. He shares the record for the most dual wins in a season (22). His career record was 95-7-1. Dale "Nub" McKimm - Nub has spent his entire adult life serving in one capacity or another with the Louisville Little Leopards Football Program. His volunteer career spans some 45 years of service to Louisville Football. |
Daryl Mickley - He was a 1985 State Wrestling Champion. He also placed at the state meet in 1983 and 1984. He holds the Louisville record for most consecutive dual wins (47) and holds or shares six other wrestling records. His career mark was 105-10.
O.D. Miller - The founder and President of O.D. Miller Electric, he was known as one of the top supporters of the local sports scene. He worked tirelessly on behalf of Louisville High School Athletics for over 30 years. Eben "Butch" Peer - He lettered in football, wrestling and track. Butch was an active volunteer in the Louisville Little Leopards Football Program for 41 years. He was a dedicated Leopard as he was also active in the Louisville Touchdown Club. Bill Shalosky - Bill was an honorable mention All-Ohio lineman in 1948. He was also All-League and All-County. He was a three year letterman in football and two year in track. He played on the 1948 undefeated Tri-County League Championship football team. Denver Smith - He taught at Louisville High School for 27 years. He coached boys' track team for five years and in the at time won 4 Stark County Track and Field Championships. He is a National Masters Track and Field Champion in the Decathlon. Paul Starkey - He had a 146-51-3 record in his 20-year career as the Leopards' football coach. He was inducted into the Ohio High School Football Coaches Hall of Fame in 1989 and the Stark County Football Hall of Fame in 2004. Mark Stier - This three-year football letter winner was first team All-Ohio, All Stark County and Stark County Lineman of the Year. He wa co-captain of the 1964 undefeated Leopards football team that played in the Tri-County League. Kerri Strobelt - She led her Leopard's basketball team to Federal League championships in 1980 and 1981. She was first team All-Ohio, All-Federal League, 1981 Federal League Player of the Year, and All County. She led Stark County in scoring in 1981. Dr. Thomas E. Violand - He served for 21 years as the team physician to the Leopards' football team and the Sectional Wrestling Tournament. The Ohio High School Athletic Association presented him with the 2003 Outstanding Team Physician Award. |
